PAX Stix – Basic Recipe

1. Use PAX Stix to randomly select a student for a task or answer a question.
2. When students are stuck or need help, allow them to choose a peer to help them out.
3. Thank both students for their effort and teamwork.
4. Return the sticks to the cup, so that students know they may be selected again.
5. Keep the name on the stick hidden and have an alternate student in mind in case the question or task is not appropriate for student whose stick is selected.
